Hydrochromic materials react to water. Printed or applied in white, they turn see-through when wet, revealing the colour, image or message underneath. As they dry, the white returns — so the reveal can be repeated again and again.

Getting the best result
Hydrochromic ink is white, so it hides light colours best. Very dark colours such as black, dark blue or red can show through — use lighter shades (grey, light blue, pink) underneath for the cleanest reveal.
Textiles and swimwear, umbrellas and rainwear, printed materials and cards, packaging and drinks labels, signage and promotions, games, puzzles and escape rooms, moisture indication, education and science demonstrations.
