Photochromics are colourful and bright! They will only reveal themselves in the sun and they are reversible!

The colours available are Orange, Magenta, Canary Yellow, Violet and Cobalt Blue. When not in the sun, these products are pale. Yet it only takes several seconds for it to change the colour in sunlight. On the other hand, too much prolonged sunlight will damage the UV sensitivity of these products. Similarly, high heat will also reduce the effectiveness of this product.

Our photochromic pigment is micro-encapsulated and contains photochromic dye. It has a particle size of 2-5um.

Photochromic pigment can be used on ceramic, metal, glass and textile materials. It can be used in coatings for paper and board as well as plastic injection moulding. Screen printing and flexo-graphic printing techniques are suitable for use with photochromic products. There are many options for using our pigments and inks- especially in sunnier weather! Photochromics are great for promotional or health and safety materials that bring attention to UV awareness.

For best results, apply your chosen photochromic product onto a white or pale surface to help the colour stand out.

We sell a Photochromic ink trial pack to help you assess the best colour to use for your project. Apply this ink with a roller for best results.
