If you are looking for a product that has sheen and shine… SFXC metallic products will enhance any large detail, eye-catching design, font or image!

Metallic inks are inks combined with a metallic pigment flake. This product is water based and can be used for screen printing on paper, board and fabric substrates.

SFXC stocks Ferrofluid. This is a liquid metal that reacts when triggered by a magnetic force. Applications include electronics and technology. For school and educational use, this product is ideal for demonstrating the power of magnets.

Other intriguing metallic products include electrical screen-printing ink as well as gold pigments and metallic ink.

For paper and board, glossy paper will produce a better finish with metallic ink than standard printing paper. If you do require the use of matt paper or board, make sure to use two or more coats. Darker surfaces are great to bring out the shine of these products.

Don’t forget to purchase our metallic binder when using our pigments. Our SFXC binder is an industry standard water- based screen printing medium, that can be used with 10% metallic pigment. This way, you can create your own metallic ink that doesn’t dull the metallic shine like many binders can.

If you would like to try even more metallic effects, SFXC has silver and gold leaf sheets too! The metal is gold or aluminium that has been manufactured into thin sheets. It is mainly used for gilding and decoration. Historically, metal leaf has been used extensively in interior and architecture. It used as an embellishment in calligraphy and sculptures; not surprisingly it is often added to jewellery creations to create a luxury effect. It can be applied to various surfaces such as wood, paper or board, vinyl, glass and some ceramics.
