Hydrochromic ink becomes transparent when wet. If you want to hide an image or a certain piece of text or cool design, this ink is ideal to reveal!

Our hydrochromic products are pale/white. When dry they are opaque. These inks are reversible. Thus, several coats are needed to achieve optimal coverage. For example, when compared to our brightly hued fluorescent inks.

Do not use a very dark background, surface or material with these inks. Also try to work quickly, as it dries fast.

We stock sprayable hydrochromic ink. This product can be used for wood, metal and glass surfaces to name a few.

Our inks are water based. This makes them very effective for screen printing, and can applied to fabrics, plastic and paper and board.

However, it is recommended to use a new sheet for each project, when working with our films and vinyls. Our adhesive backed films cannot be replaced as easily on the same surface. This type of product is a much simpler method in comparision to using paints and inks. SFXC hydrochromic sheets can be wiped clean with a cloth and cut with a guillotine, craft knife or scissors. Our vinyls can be used on plastics, board, wood and some fabrics. We have various sizes available.

Applications for hydrochromic products include promotional endeavours such as labelling or other marketing ideas. Students will have a lot of fun playing with water and all the possibilities our products entail.
