SFXC® Cholesteric Rainbow Liquid Crystal Screen Printing Ink is a ready-to-use, water-based thermochromic ink that produces a vibrant rainbow colour-changing effect in response to temperature.
This heat sensitive liquid crystal ink displays a full spectrum of colour transitions between approximately 25°C and 30°C (77°F to 86°F). As temperature increases, the coating shifts from red through green to deep blue, creating a visually striking and interactive finish.
When applied over a black background, the effect is at its most vivid, with the coating appearing almost invisible until activated.
Application & Performance
This liquid crystal ink is designed for screen printing onto paper, board, and fabrics. It can also be applied using stamping techniques where appropriate.
For best results, apply to a black backing to maximise colour visibility and contrast.

Note: While spraying can be used for a more even finish, this product is primarily formulated for screen printing applications.
Protection & Compatibility
Liquid crystal coatings are delicate and should be protected where required with a suitable water-based clear topcoat.
Do not use solvent-based products, as these will damage the liquid crystal layer.
